CJ Faison 2006 Mr. DIRT Jr. National Champion!!!
CJ Faison of Seaford,De.won the 2006 Mr. DIRT Team-USA Jr. National Championship at East Bay Raceway Park this past Friday Night. Faison's car displaying the long time Delaware sponsors  Ed's Auto Center/ Delaware Auto Exchange/ Ken Darling & Sons "0j" clinched the National Championship title with a dominating win on Thursday and a 2nd on Friday to become the first ever Mr. DIRT  Team-USA Jr. National Champion. Faison, the 2005 Middleford Speedway Track Champion, talked with his crew and decided to points race on Friday in an effort to take the title chase. Ed Cole, CJ's crew chief from Seaford,De.  made the call to be conservative on setup and run to win the championship. Cole engineered the 2005 Track Championship efforts for CJ and remains a mentor to several other Jr. drivers.
Starting on the pole for the heat, Faison would run to a strong second place. With the track taking on rubber from the StormPay Late Models, Faison's crew went with a harder right rear tire to help free the car up for the feature. But the track took on more rubber than anyone expected and all the cars were tight except for Tyler Reed who went on to record his first ever National win in front of Faison .  With the conservative setup CJ went on to finish 2nd and take the 2006 Mr. DIRT Jr.National Championship title.
Saturday Night was a different story for the competitors at East Bay. With the Mod-Lites running before the Late Models could rubber down the track , the advantage would be to Faison. CJ put on a "clinic" of driving technics as he used all grooves on the fast East Bay Track to be at times 1/2 track ahead of his fellow racers. With the line up set by National points Faison started on the pole with Jimmy Wills on the outside. Wills tried to intimidate Faison on several restarts with the old "pull-up beside and wave " but Faison would have no parts of it as CJ would rip off and throw mud on the front of Wills #22 Price Honda Pro-Chassis. Faison lead every lap with ease until the last caution, this restart Faison would pull away to a straight away lead ,never looking back to take home his second win of the week and the 2007 Winternationals Title as well as the lead in the 2007 National points.
Faison is schedule to drive  the #8 Langs Heating & AC of Hilton Head Island,SC/ Delaware Auto Exchange/JERRO Motorsports Legend cars at the Hardees Summer Shootout in Charlotte NC in the INEX 600 Racing Legends, with Charlie Langenstein of Concord, NC as his crew chief for those efforts. "Charlie is glad to have the quality equipment CJ is used to driving available for these races" say Ron Faison car owner.  Langenstein is currently working with CJ's asphalt efforts with the #21 Townsend Late Model as well as the Legend cars.

Faison  runs Late Model Stock car at Wake County Speedway.
CJ Faison made his debue in the Super Late Model Division this past Friday Night at Wake County Speedway in Garner,North Carolina. Faison driving the #21 Delaware Auto Exchange/Ed's Auto Center/ Advance Post Frames Chevy Monte Carlo competed in the season opener  at the famous Wake County Speedway. Faison arrived at the track a little behind schedule due to a traffic jam in Baltimore .
The team made quick work of all needed pre-race checks to get CJ on the track for the first round of practice. Several laps into the practice and CJ was up to speed and the #21 looked good for the opening nights event. During the second round of practice Chris Hastings, car chief, made a few sway bar adjustments and CJ was set to qualify. Faison went out 14th and quailfied in the 12th spot with a 13.632 time, while the pole setter Charlie Stephenson ran a 13.198. With only 4/10th of a second between the top 12 this would prove to be a great race for opening night.
At the drop of the green the crowd roared with excitement as the 2007 season was now officialy open. Faison wasted no time as he started to move forward. With the help of several caution flags, CJ made his way into the top 10 within the first 30 laps. Faison , who was at a disadvantage as his engine was a 400 hp crate engine, running against 600hp open motors,  held no punches back as he ran door to door with the likes of Big Jim Kelly, Cutus Simpkins,Jonathan Logan, and Carnell Lee. Lee and Kelly , both former track champions at several late model tracks in NC were impressed with the smooth line and the way CJ handled lap traffic. When the checker flags flew CJ would end his first ever Super Late Model race with a solid 9th place finish and all fenders on the car.
With over 15+ family & friends in attendance CJ was greeted in the pits as a winner. CJ's aunt from Zebulon,NC said" I thought I was going to get sick before the race started...but CJ did a great job and it's still hard to think of little CJ against all those big grown guys". CJ and the JERRO Motorsports team want to thank everyone who supported CJ in his first Super Late Model race. CJ will be back in action in 2 weeks at Wake County Speedway in the Super Late Model.

CJ Faison goes south in Late Model.

CJ Faison the 13 year old standout driver from Seaford, Delaware headed south to the famous Wake County Speedway this past Friday night to compete inthe Limited Late Model class. Faison driving the new #39 Ed's Auto Center / Advance Post Frames / Delaware Auto Exchange/ Townsend Chassis got to the track early to analize it before taking the green in the Limited Late Model class.
Faison started 4th in the  first heat and finished a strong 3rd after a miss shift on the start took him back to 5th. With the weather extremely HOT the track was slick fast at over 120 degrees.
Faison would start the feature in 5th place behind the two current Wake County "Hotdogs" in the Limited class. At the drop of the green the field headed into turn one and the pile up begain. Faison checked up clean but the #66 was driving off his hood  and plowed Faison from behind, spinning the #39 into the current pile up from the front row. The red flag was out for 10 mins. till the track crew could clear the mess off turn 1. With the toe knocked out, rear end smashed up and the front fenders bent , Faison would have his hands full till the checkers.
Although the field was small from this point on, Faison would work his way back to a strong 4th place finish in only his 3rd outting in a full size Late Model.
Faison will return to Wake County this week Sept. 14, 2007 in the #39 M-T Trash Late Model.

Delaware driver CJ Faison captures 2006 Middleford Nationals .

Friday Oct. the 13th was a good day for local racer CJ Faison. While the date was wicked, Faison's famous "0j" Mod-lite was not as he captured the 2006 Middleford SpeedwayNationals win in the Jr. Mod-lite division. Faison statred the night out struggling in the heat race. Finishing 5th was not where he wanted to start the feature with the stiff competition at this event. But after wholesale changes in his setup by crew chief Ed Cole, Faison moved slowly through the pack to third. While riding the laps down he moved past Hitchins, easliy to take 2nd, with his sights set on leader Jimmy Wills driving the Price Honda #22 . Faison put the pressure on Wills and several laps later Wills would spin and Faison would take over the top spot. Faison would lead through several yellow flag and restarts till the checkers dropped. Faison making only selected races at Middleford this year has won 6 of 9 races.

Faison will appear in Florida Feb. 2007 for the final 3 events of the 2006 National Championship in the T-USA Jr Mod-Lite division. Faison comes into these races in 3rd place, but the championship is always within his reach. Watch this site for updates on these events.

CJ Faison wins Nationals at East Bay
CJ Faison wins the T-USA National race at East Bay Raceway in Tampa Florida on Thursday night. Faison driving the famous "0j" Delaware Auto Exchange/ Ed's Auto Center Mod-Lite started the day off on the pole for the heat race. With changing track conditions all day due to the Storm-Pay Late Models laying heavy rubber , Faison would finish the heat in second behind fellow Delaware driver Jimmy Wills. But during the break Ed Cole and Ron Faison decided to roll the dice and made major changes to the "0j".
"We changed shocks, springs, and tires to tighten up the car for CJ" said Cole. And these changes would prove to be the right ones as CJ started 2nd and would find himself in third at lap 2.  After several green flag laps Faison's tires came in and he begain to make his move. With Wills and Dylon Evans fighting for the lead on the top side Faison went to the bottom and made up ground. By lap 6 Faison had the "0j"  in the lead and never looked back. Evans speaking with Faison after the race said" I saw you on the bottom and the next lap you were  a straight away ahead of me"
Faison finished a full straight away in front of Wills  and Evans to take his first National win and expand his lead in the National points race.
In attendance were CJ's Grandparents Ron & Lucy Faison from North Carolina.

Faison travels to New York for Victory
CJ Faison loaded up the famous "0j" and headed north to Evans Mills ,New York to Thunder Alley Speedway this past Friday the 13th of July. Faison ,who has 2 wins on Friday the 13th, headed north with 4 local drivers to invade the
Thunder Alley and Can-Am Speedways in New York state.
Friday the 13th.would prove once again to be a great night as CJ jumped in the Delaware Auto Exchange/ Ed's Auto Center "0j" for the first time in months to make a Dirt race appearence. Faison has been running at Lowes Motorspeedway,Concord,NC in the Racing 600 Legends cars for the past few months.
With the luck of the 13th on his side Faison would draw the pole for the heat with Jim Wills in the #22 Price Honda car on the outside. At the green Wills jumped the start and took the lead on lap 1. Wills would hold on for the 8 lap win with Faison  all over the back of the #22 on every lap.

Faison takes the checkers in N.C
CJ Faison took home a win this past weekend in his first  heat race at Lowes Motorspeedway. Faison driving his #21 took the lead on the start and never looked back on his way to his first win in a legend. The field was inverted for the second heat, so Faison would have to start at the tailend of the field. But as the laps drew to a close Faison had moved up to finish second, giving him the pole for the final feature race of the day for the 600 Racing Young Lions division.
Faison started on the pole but quickly found himself looking at the rear of the #10 Blaney car, as the #10 jumped the start. Faison would hold on to second until his #21 car became wicked loose and he faded to finish in the top 10 for the last event.
Faison then hustled to make a trip to Zebulon, NC to visit his grand parents for thier 50th Wedding Anniversary party.
Look for CJ back this weekend at Lowes where he hopes to continue his winning ways at Lowes Motorspeedway.

Another win for Faison.

CJ Faison sweeps the Jr. Mod-Lite class this past Friday night. Faison with new sponsors TULL RAMEY Real Estate on the sides of the famous "0j" car sweep the heat and the main event at Middleford Speedway in Seaford, De. Faison started on the outside pole in the heat due to his draw and it only took 2 laps for Faison to take the lead from Jimmy Wills, and secure the top starting spot for the feature event. After discussing track changes with crew chief Ed Cole,  it was decided a few adjustments would help free the "0j" up. Faison who has been absent for a few weeks from competition, showed he still knows how to wheel his Lightning Chassis to the front. At the drop of the green it was all Faison as he lead every lap, even after three restarts the TULL RAMEY Real Estate  "0j" was on a rail to yet another 2006 feature win. Faison was joined in victory lane by Steve, Terry & Stevie Tull from TULL RAMEY Real Estate, as well as all his crew.
