August 16, 2013 CJ once again returned to drive a dirt modified for Ellis Motorsports at Georgetown Speedway in Delaware. After being one of the fastest cars in practice, Faison was confident in his car for the rest of the night. After a wreck in the heat race involving Faison and one other car, CJ would then have to start 17th in the A-main. When the green flag waved there was no holding CJ Faison back. Moving his way up through the field, CJ made it all ofthe way up to 3rd place by the end of the 15 lap race.
"There's no doubt in my mind that we could have won the race if there had been 5 more laps. The bad luck in the heat race cost me the win but we live and we learn. Most importantly I can say that these past two dirt races have been a lot of fun indeed."-CJ Faison
