CJ steps into Dirt Late Model racing

CJ Faison is known as a versatile driver on both dirt and asphalt, currently racing part time in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East. Faison is a past multi champion in various dirt racing series. While CJ has raced just about every type of racecar built, he has yet to set foot in the dirt late model world until now. RH Motorsports located in Mooresville, NC has decided to give Faison the chance to race their famous #10g racecar. CJ will debut in his first career dirt late model start at Cleveland County Speedway in Lawndale, NC on July 26, 2013.

“I’ve never turned as much as a lap in a dirt late model, so I’m pretty anxious to be out there. A big thanks goes out to Rich Hubbs who is giving me the opportunity to drive for him and his team” Said Faison.

Race update:

CJ Faison debuted in a dirt late model on July 26th at Cleveland County Speedway for Rich Hubbs Racing. Gaining knowledge and experience in a dirt late model was CJ's only goal that night. CJ had a small streak of bad luck in the heat race with a Right Rear tire going flat on him just a few laps into the race. As expected, CJ recovered in the A-main and brought home a very respectful 9th place finish. "These dirt late models are surely a different animal to drive. I had a blast driving these types of cars and I can't wait to get back out there again in a few weeks." -CJ Faison
